Truth by LetBe.ai is a Chrome extension that helps verify claims while you watch videos, meetings, or web content. Truth runs only when you press Start for a tab. It reads captions or captures a short audio window only for the active check, sends that content to LetBe.ai to run a verification scenario, and shows the result in-page.

• Authentication and account data: your LetBe API key, OAuth connection state, guest provisioning state, and credit/balance status.
• Settings: API URL, Flow ID, transcript source, language, interval, display preferences, and audio/caption mode.
• Active-tab content: short caption/transcript windows, selected page text for manual scans, or short tab-audio snippets when audio mode is used.
• Result data: recent verdicts, source labels, Truth Meter counts, and limited local history used to display previous results.
• Diagnostics: technical error/status information needed to debug capture, transcription, API calls, credits, and extension reliability.

Truth does not collect keystrokes, passwords, full browsing history, or page content unrelated to the active check.

• To send the active transcript/audio/page snippet to your LetBe.ai verification scenario and receive an AI-assisted verdict.
• To display verdict toasts, Truth Meter counts, popup status, and recent verdict history.
• To authenticate requests, check credits, provision guest access, and deduct wallet/credit usage when checks run.
• To remember settings and keep the extension working across browser sessions.
• To prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, and comply with legal or security obligations.

Truth requests permissions such as storage, activeTab, scripting, alarms, tabCapture, offscreen, identity, and host access so it can run on the tab you choose, read captions/page text, capture tab audio when needed, authenticate your LetBe account, remember settings, schedule checks, and show verdicts in-page. These permissions are used only to provide Truth functionality.

Truth sends active-tab transcript/audio/page snippets to the LetBe.ai backend/API URL used by the extension. LetBe.ai may process that content with AI model providers, speech-to-text providers, cloud hosting, security, billing, and support tools needed to operate the service. We do not sell user data, do not use extension data for advertising, and do not transfer extension data to third parties for unrelated profiling, creditworthiness, or marketing purposes.

The extension stores settings, API key/guest state, credit snapshot, and recent verdict history in Chrome extension storage. Runtime tab state is kept only as needed while the extension is running. Server-side logs, billing records, and usage records may be retained as needed for service operation, security, support, accounting, and legal obligations.

• Use Start/Stop to control when Truth runs on a tab.
• Use Settings to change API URL, Flow ID, language, transcript source, and display options.
• Revoke API keys or connected apps from the LetBe.ai portal.
• Clear local extension data by clearing extension storage or uninstalling the extension.
• Contact us to request access, deletion, export, or correction of account data, subject to legal and security limits.
